Rollei IFA Preview
The countdown to IFA has begun! Rollei is already providing a sneak preview of the highlights of its various product lines “Compactline”, “Flexline” and “Movieline”. Hobby video film makers in particular are getting their money’s worth – with no fewer than three new HD camcorders being presented in Berlin. What is more, Rollei is consistently expanding its range of digital picture frames and photo/slide-film scanners.
Rollei’s top-of-the-range model in the digital camera category is the new Flexline 250. Housed inside a classic aluminium body, this 12 megapixel camera incorporates a host of outstanding technical features such as optical image stabilisation and 5x optical zoom, along with other useful functions such as face detection, smile detection and red eye reduction. The large 3-inch LCD display, which displays photos at a resolution of 230,000 pixels, makes viewing your own small masterpieces a particular delight.
The Movieline product range is being expanded with a high-end camcorder. The top product here is the full HD SD camcorder Rollei Movieline SD-10, featuring a 3-inch touchscreen display. In addition, such features as a 10x optical zoom and a 10 megapixel sensor, plus HDMI output including connecting cable will win over film-making beginners and ambitious hobby film makers alike.
The ultra-compact camcorder Movieline P5 is the perfect choice for all those who are always ready for the next clip. The full HD resolution (1920x1080) and the 5x optical zoom ensure brilliant pictures. Thanks to the HDMI output and supplied connecting cable, the all-digital transmission of audio and video data poses no problems whatsoever. To allow the films to reach a wide audience, the P5 also features the YouTube Direct function. Video sequences are recorded directly in the right format and size and are a doddle to post online.
As a multifunctional accessory for the home, digital picture frames have become a common feature in many households. Rollei has recognised this trend and is expanding its digiframe line-up with four new energy-saving models.
Given its 8-inch TFT LCD display, the DF-8 Emotions “ultra slim” would grace any desk. For an even more impressive appearance, the wall-mountable DF-10,4 Feelings slim is the ideal choice of product. Rollei’s highlight amongst its digital picture frames, however, remains the DF-15,6 Feelings slim. With its ultra-slim body (24 mm thin) and featuring an impressive 39.6-cm screen, it is perfect for putting photo memories centre stage. Four different display options, integral stereo loudspeakers and the video function combine to make any picture viewing session a real experience.
The Rollei portfolio is rounded off by the new scanner models. Two new slide-film scanners and one photo scanner provide a quick and uncomplicated way to digitise favourite pictures still in analogue format. The DF-S 100 reproduces the photo memories it saves on a 2.4 inch TFT colour display and, thanks to the TV-Out connection, on television screens as well. In addition, both the DF-S 110 slide-film scanner and the P-S 100 photo scanner offer an impressive performance, with scanning speeds from 0.5 seconds and a resolution of 3600 dpi.
