Attractive entry-level cameras: Rollei Compactline 203 and 103

Rollei Compactline 203

Hamburg, 23 February 2010

Spring is on its way and is bringing numerous interesting photo motifs. So that newcomers to photography can also capture those first green shoots in digital format, Rollei is presenting two new entry-level digicams. What is special about both these models is their ease of use and their variety of functions, such as high-speed continuous shooting, webcam and anti-shake functions.

Compactline 203The Compactline 203 is equipped with a 12 megapixel image sensor and 3x optical zoom. As an alternative, Rollei also offers a 10 megapixel version — the Compactline 103 — featuring identical functions.
A particular highlight of the cameras is their HD resolution (720p/30fps) for video recordings. The self shot films and snapshots can be played back and admired instantly on the bright 2.4 inch TFT display. No fewer than 21 shooting modes, face and smile detection plus the manually adjustable white fader go to ensure that each and every picture is exposed correctly. An entirely new feature from Rollei is the charging function via USB, which dispenses with the charger, which is otherwise usually required. The case for both the CL-203 and the CL-103 is only 19.25 mm wide and at just 104 grams (without battery or memory card) is particularly lightweight. In addition to a USB port, these attractive entry-level cameras also feature an AV output and support SD/SDHC memory cards with capacities of up to 16 GB.

AlttextThese highly versatile and compact digital cameras will be available from April 2010 on in the colours blue, black, silver and red. The RRP for the Compactline 203 is € 79.95; the Compactline 103 will be available at a price of € 69.95.
