Rollei Flexline 140: a stylish, slim camera for the next city trip

Rollei Flexline 140: a stylish, slim camera for the next city trip

Hamburg, February 2009 – Rollei presents its slim Rollei Flexline 140 camera in time for spring. The new Flexline product range offers high quality combined with stylish design. The Flexline 140 has a resolution of 10 megapixels and is equipped with a 4x optical zoom and 30 mm wide
angle lens. It is available in the attractive colours coffee, metallic blue and black, and is the ideal choice for ambitious, design-conscious photographic novices.

The Flexline 140 shows its real strength when traveling, as it is extremely thin at 19.2 mm, and weighs a mere 126 grams (without the battery or SD card). It is easy to use, thanks to its intuitive menus – even without a user manual – and the Rollei Apogon lens, with a zoom range of 30 mm to 128 mm (35 mm equivalent), is especially suited to taking photos of urban scenes. In addition
to the manual setting options, such as white balance and exposure metering and correction, 21 motif programs provide the perfect settings for virtually every situation. The ISO sensitivity level of 64 to 400 can be adjusted to match a wide variety of light conditions. A bright 3-inch TFT display serves as viewfinder, and provides crystal-clear results.

Special Features
Paris looks magnificent from the top of the Eiffel Tower, yet is impossible to capture with a single photo. Thanks to the Rollei Flexline 140's panorama function and software supplied with the camera, fascinating 360-degree pictures can be created very easily. Another way to take such photos is provided by the album function: with the help of this mode, up to three photos can be combined in a multi-photo layout. Another useful feature is the 'coupling shot', which combines two photos into one picture. A group photo in front of the Notre-Dame cathedral can therefore be extended afterwards to include the missing people. If you fancy capturing moving scenes in the metropolis, videos in full VGA quality can also be recorded – and thanks to the integrated speaker,
the results can be seen and heard.

The Rollei Flexline 140 is now available in the shops and includes the Panorama Maker software package from Zoner, amongst other things. The recommended retail price is 199.95 euros.

About Rollei
Cameras which are simple to use and function superbly – Rollei's history began in a Braunschweig workshop in 1920 under this motto. Rollei established its global reputation as a manufacturer of precision devices with its binocular Rolleiflex, a trend-setting roll film camera. It soon became the standard tool for professional photographers and the dream of all amateurs. In May 2007, RCP-Technik GmbH & Co. KG, a company based in Hamburg, purchased the Rollei brand license rights for the sale of digital consumer cameras and accessories throughout Europe. The camera portfolio includes the four product lines 'flexline', 'Compactline', 'Sportsline' and ‘Movieline’. Excellent service is available for all Rollei consumer cameras: the 24-month all-around care-free package offers the possibility of exchanging the camera for a new device within 8 days, in the event of damage.
