Rollei’s gleanings from the IFA
Hamburg, 9 September 2010
In addition to a number of new products, Rollei also focussed on its 90th anniversary at this year’s IFA. At the Rollei stand, which was lined with photographs of Marilyn Monroe taken by the glamour photographer Bernard of Hollywood and an exhibition of numerous Rollei rarities from the past 90 years, the company presented its new, comprehensive range of products. New digital cameras in the Compactline family as well as new slide-film and photo scanners with special edition features celebrated their premiere along with two new Movieline camcorders. The new Designline and Pictureline range of digital picture frames were also displayed for the first time.
Thomas Güttler, Managing Director of RCP-Technik GmbH, confirmed the importance of the IFA for Rollei: “Although the Photokina is also held this year, our presence at the IFA shows just how important this technology trade fair is for Rollei. After all, the IFA 2007 marked the beginning of our company’s successful development. The IFA has become one of the most important presentation platforms for Rollei, not least because of our intensive collaboration with the large specialist dealers, and the trade fair still provides many dealers with the possibility of ordering new products early on.” Mr. Güttler is also very happy about the positive feedback which has been received from both specialist dealers and customers, regarding the new Rollei products and the presentation of 90 years of Rollei history at the trade fair stand.
